The Rockford IceHogs dropped their third game in a row on Tuesday. The Texas Stars tipped their hats in Thanks as they left the arena, soundly beating the IceHogs 6-2. The Stars capitalized on power plays, scoring 4 goals while the IceHogs were a man down.The sellout crowd of 6073 was treated to one fight during the game. Rockford's Brandon Bollig and Texas' Eric Godard dropped gloves @ 2:47 of the 2nd period. Both teams joined in the fans' cheers, as sticks could be heard loudly tapping the ice & the boards in support of their teammates.The IceHogs started the game strongly with crisp passing but ended it in a flurry of wild scurrying back and forth on the ice trying to play catch-up. It's early in the season though, so hope is still alive for this team of very young talented players to learn and grow together. Scoring for Texas were Ryan Garbutt, Mathieu Tousignant, Matt Fraser (2), Luke Gadzic, and Phillip Larson. Shawn Lalonde and Ben Smith tallied for Rockford. Netminder Tyler Beskorowany took the Win while, Rockford's Alec Richards got the big L.
