Amundsen faces loss to Plainfield Central.

The Amundsen Vikings are faced with the loss tonight of their football season opener to Central 42-7.  It will be a week of rebuilding before their next game Saturday September 7th at 1PM against Carl Schurtz  at Lane Stadium.  For a gallery of today’s game please click the link to our Face Book page.  Complete coverage is to follow.

    I really don’t know what game the photographer or your reporter were watching, but…Although Amundnsen played as well as they could losing as many starters as they did for this season. They came in and played their hearts out, unfortunately Plainfield Central(with at least 2 nationally ranked players) they really stood no chance under coach Jackson.
    Amundsen was by far over run by the offense and defense with a score of 42-7. Way to go boys you have the heart just need more experience, but that will come.

    The head line under the picture should have said “This viking had no chance because the PC line was way too powerful”
