Gift Cards for Children

November 30, 2012

Bring a brighter holiday to the neediest children who attend 47th Ward public schools for this season of giving. Folks who would like to help these families may purchase $25-$50 gift cards from local grocery stores like Jewel, Mariano’s or HarvesTime, or from department stores such as Sears or Target where a variety of goods, gifts or necessities could be purchased.

The 47th Ward Service Office is are asking you to help spread the word about this program to your neighbors. Gift cards should be brought to the service office by December 16th. The principals or social workers of these schools have identified the children and their families who will receive these gift cards prior to the holiday break.

No preferential treatment will be offered to anyone that participates in this program.  All donations will be distributed to school staff in the 47th Ward.
