Alderman Pawar, Forward Chicago and Old Town School Sponsor Event47th Ward Alderman, ForwardChicago.org and the Old Town School of Folk Music held a public conversation meeting Saturday morning about aging in the 47th Ward. Forward Chicago is a grassroots on-line and in-person membership-based community created organization in one of the most livable neighborhoods in the heart of Chicago’s northside, born of Alderman Ameya Pawar election campaign. Ald. Pawar spoke briefly and Rush University Medical Center’s Robyn Golden talked on aging issues. Host of WTTW’s Chicago Tonight and ward resident Phil Ponce, lead a panel discussion centering on aging success stories and strategies.
