Rams Grab 15th Win v. UIC College Prep Saturday
Gordon Tech’s head boys basketball coach Tom Kleinschmidt has the Rams headed in the right direction. The Rams have won three games in the Chicago Catholic League so far this season and nearly two others with heartbreaking last minute losses to Bishop McNamara and Fenwick. Coach Kleinschmidt was featured in today’s Sun-Times in an article by Dan McGrath.
The Rams defeated the U.I.C. College Prep Firecats at Gordon Tech’s Tom Weinicki Gym last night, 49-35. See photos from the game at the Welles Park Bulldog facebook page.
The future of Gordon Tech looks bright. 283 kids took the entrance exam a couple weeks ago. If that trend continues, enrollment in the school could double in a few years. In partnership between DePaul University, Gordon Tech looks to improve academics and enrollment making it into a top tier Catholic high school competing for students with Loyola and St. Ignatius.
Tom Kleinschmidt is doing his part with a 15-8 record. The Rams look to do some damage in the upcoming IHSA 3A playoffs.
