Valentine Day Vote for Same Sex Legislation?
An Illinois Senate committee is expected to discuss legislation regarding same sex marriage tomorrow according to an AP report that appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle.
Illinois Senator Heather Steans told the news service the item is on the agenda for the executive committee. Steans says she is confident it can pass the Senate next week.
Illinois Senate President John Cullterton indicated, in the report, he would like to approve the measure on Valentine's Day. The measure needs 30 votes to move to the House.
