Broncos 60, Bengals 29The St. Benedict Bengals girls backetball team (18-9, 6-3) lost 60 to 29 in the IHSA Lisle Sectional semi-final game to the Walther Lutheran Broncos (24-6, 8-2), at Lisle High School, Tuesday evening. The Bengals struggled early falling behind 20 to 7 early in the second quarter. Despite a ten to two second quarter run, the Bengals were still down twelve at the half, 29 to 17. The third quarter proved disastrous for the Bengals. Turnover after turnover by St. Benedict lead to transitions points for Walther Lutheran and the Broncos led by 20 after the third quarter. The game was pretty much over at that point. The Broncos depth and the Bengals lack thereof, took its toll in the fourth quarter. Four year starter Alexis Genge played her last basketball game as a Bengal as did fellow seniors Roxanne Tang, Ashley Krysztopik, Antonia Farinella, Angelica Cabrera, Georgina Tiniakos and Crystal Munoz.
