Two former Chicago High School players, Jahlil Okafor of Whitney Young and Jabari Parker of Simeon, played in this year's NBA Rising Stars Challenge. Maybe one day soon these former CPS stars will participate in the NBA ALL-STAR GAME. Okafor and Parker helped lead Team USA past World All-Stars 157-154 in the showcase of young players. Okafor had 13 points and four rebounds while Parker added 12 points and five assists. Okafor currently plays for the Philadelphia Sixers who are 8-45 while Parker's Milwaukee Bucks are 22-32. Okafor led Young to the Class 4A state title in 2014 and helped Duke win the NCAA Basketball championship in 2015. Parker led Simeon to four straight state basketball titles during his prep career.
